The car does not move out the garage , it's a project i've started, i paid £280 for her to start of with.

and yes the tyres flat.

£30 to get drilled plus new spiggot rings to cope with the inside diameter of the 284mm disc being bigger.

I was lucky! I got some off mig which were drilled and had the rings in allready!

256 cant be 1.6 coz surely 2litre xe's are 256

hey jake, yer there is a thread from the beggining. this was just a little mod i'd thought i'd post, when i have a few more things done i'm sure i'll pop it back up.

yes they are 256x20mm. Astra ATE discs were 256x24mm. Sport 1.4 discs are 236x <20mm IIRC

Aye as Cybermonkey said GSi are the same diameter discs as 2.0 16v but thicker and the calipers are also much bigger

Never knew that, i suppose it was a waste of time buying the xe brakes i brought in the first place
