cant actully get rid of the pins, as the bonnet catches are made of cheese, just ask SVM, whos bonnet flipped back and hit the roof at highspeed testing at brunters

Very nice sir.
Welcome to the big torque steer country.
I'm not normally a fan of the red, but she appears to be remarkably clean, so good work.
Mondeo rims suit too.
Bonnet pins may not be pretty and may seem a little out of place but are invaluable at keeping your bonnet, windscreen, scuttle panel and roof as the good lord intended them.
As James says, the bonnet latch is made of cheese, and as we all know, cheese 'aint no good at keeping bonnets shut.
I think it's a Mozzarella/Cheddar hybrid,
too floppy realy, especially in the sun and with all that heat soak from the turbo.
Ford realy ought to have gone for something in a Parmesan, far more rigid.
Oh, and by the way, if you think you're gonna do a few small mods and be happy with that and consider your work done...
...uh uh, no way, think again sunshine.
You will become a power crazed madman/perfectionist who can think of little else (just look at Twins' red 'E' plater on PassionFord).
Owning one of these f*ckers is worse than heroin addiction.
My particular shed has had enough folding stuff thrown at it to end world hunger and i've still got to spend more.
e.g. plans for next 24 months or so:
Quaife gear set with bespoke ratios plus Quaife ATB diff plus B&M selector mech - circa £3000
Recaro carbon race seat with black 3 inch 6 point Sabelt harness - circa £1300
Safety Devices weld-in cage (triangulated) circa £700 - £1000
Paice Products alloy rad plus twin fans - circa £500
Wizards of NOS N2O system - £? not sure on price as I already have most of the hardware and just need a few more bits plus fitting and setting up.
HID gas discharge headlight conversion - circa £300
New sunroof and blind - circa £360
Momo flat bottomed steering wheel - £God only knows
various little imperfections in the bodywork - £God only knows
Plumbed in fire extinguisher system - £again, I dread to think, but you've got to protect your investment haven't you.
Plus various other annoying, time consuming, costly, fiddly little jobs and an MOT and she'll be perfect
Oh, and not forgetting of course, 20 inch chrome spinners, a flamer kit, some tints, some lovely neons and a thumping ice install and i'll be ready to rock

Think your thinking of another one mate... I know the mint red S2 down KDY, guy from down my way built it, used to run a 300bhp, zetec turbo... back to the 1.6 & now its pretty piss poor. Super duper clean, I might be wrong tho.
