Dont know wether to laugh or cry really, as most cars i start doing this too end up deaded
But i have finally begun the long haul of a monster rebuild on my calibra.
Things are going well at the moment and i have already found two problems that will be fixed when it goes back together. These being the fuel return line after the fuel pressure reg was kinked, causing high fuel pressure, hence the overfuelling. And what must be the laziest turbo bolting ever!. the bolts around the port for cylinder 1 can be aquard, so the previous owner just left them out.. thats 3 studs missing so the turbo was blowing badly at that end..
Any ways here be some pics.. ill keep things updated if anyones actually interested!

Last time in this form..

Bumper off, no wonder she ran hot! theres an intercooler, oil cooler, PAS cooler and air con rad all there, and the coolant rad behind it all!

Finished for the evening.

The drastic step of permently removing the air con was undertaken..

and its well perminant now, cut all the fan shrouds off

Well the engine is also nearly ready to come out, should be on the deck by sunday i think.. then the real fun begins

these are at the front.
the bolt in the top left is where the lower suspension arm bolts to.

if the back wheel looks like it's off the ground, then it's because my cam overexposed because of the sun.

Well, im done for today, found more fun things that are bad
like semi melted brake discs, and a completely fcuked clutch
on the plus side, the engines out, and semi stripped and in the garage.. all the aircon pipes are also gone now

Pics of the fun..

George comes round to lend a hand..

Everythings ready to drop out, all in one lump (engine, box and transfer box)

engine crane hooked up and the mounts are removed

Callys lifted clear of the engine

new axel stands placed under the car, and the engines dragged clear ready to be split from the gearbox and transfer box..

engine and gearbox are separated, and we decide to see what state the cluch is in and find this

im pooped
