Looking for a breakdown cover for my girlfriends 1994 1.2 corsa swing.
I would like a breakdown cover that will pick her up anywhere in the uk (preferebly) and take her and the car HOME. Not to a local garage where she has broken down.
Also i would not need home start.
Most breakdown covers only offer the option of if you breakdown they will take you home BUT they will take your car to a local garage to where you break down and i want them to take the car home.
Give me ideas please of some good companies to go with!
Cheers everyone!
BTW need this cover by thursday as shes off on a 200 mile trip

Ive been looking at the AA and i cant understand their pricing system.
Continuous payment once a year by Direct Debit or credit card.
Single £75
A one-off payment of
Single £104
How many years is a continuous payment? at the end of the day i could sign up today and cancel it in a years time!

RAC...never used them. Was with the AA, but were costing a silly amount with 3 different cards (about 300-400 quid a year or something).
But were with the AA for a good 10yrs or so, and were pretty good - but never had to use them for anything major

Also if you break down i take it you have to pay for the parts, which would be top dollar!
Could you ask them to tow you home and get the work done at a local garage for less £££

they will try to fix at road side if they can't will tow you where ever, you don't have to take there parts if they have them on board, your choice...

if u break down they just either give u an easy fix solution to get u home or to a garage or tow u
if u run out of petrol u have to pay
also with AA if u dont use them u get a discount the followin year

Used the RAC, wasnt a pleasant experience. I described my problem clearly and they sent the wrong type of truck (flatbed), because the car wasnt in a state to be pulled (wheel hanging off due to broken balljoint) they had to send out another truck. So had to wait two hours in the rain
