Awesome machines : make sure it runs smooth as silk though, the v4 lump really smooth, any rough running is very very bad and expensive to fix

Yep its the 400, a good starting place for learning leading up to the big bikes

VFR 400 NC30

very nide bike, tidy handling, difficult to tune though (i have a feeling this wont concern you ) are lovely bikes though

id go for the RVF personally though

Yes it is a fire blade in the same colour scheme. Did you ever get my u2u ages ago asking if you had access to a fax machine? I printed off some info off TIS for you which you asked me about.

these are excellent bikes and as a starter bike well done cos i tried to get insured on 1 of these at 17 but they wanted stupid money!
the handling of them is amazing but do check that single swingarm out as a friend who had one cracked it and they aint cheap to replace!!!

If your interested my uncle is selling a 52 plate Honda CBR600, 1700miles, full race replica (forgot which rider) will get pics if your interested, around £4500 off the top of my head, the bike is amazin and like new!!
