I havent had mine on my car much,

As you are all aware my car is very clean, and I hardly drive it, however my coilovers are knackered...

They are completely corroded and I am a little worried they are going to do the same as J100RSA. His completely snapped off at the mount.

They are so bad the thread is completely covered in rusty and there is no way I can turn the nut to adjust the height.

I am just interested to see who else has had problems.

Please copy and paste your name and say what model you have.

im having the same problem with the avo kit, coilovers at the front and adjustables at the rear. i looked at the coilovers the other day and they were badly corroded, my car has only done 35k and the suspension has only been on for half that. i know they arnt fk ones but maybe its a common fault?

I tried to adjust mine last week actually, and found that the thread had weathered so much, I was limited to how much I could adjust them.
Ive put loads of copper slip all over them now to protect them.

I also noticed that the shocks are looking very tired considering they are not even a year old.

I Have the highsports BTW.

Mine are fine, i copper slipped them when i put them on, whenever you wash the car you MUST pressure wash or clean the thread of the coilovers.
If you look after them they look after you, you cant expect all the road salt, grit and dirt not to collect in the threads so just take some time and clean them

after only 8k miles usage i'd expect them to be a bit better condition than what painz said his is in, after all it is the cars suspension and it'll be weather beaten constantly

yes but there coilovers not shocks and springs, shocks and spring set up is all covered over, coilvers the thread is open to the elements so you have to look after it!!

I have highsports, i got higher poundage front springs to take the weight of the engine, and koni yellow adjustables for the rear shocks, the rears are set to medium and the fronts wound halfway down, rides a treat handles a treat and i cant fault them. Much better than the koni yellows i put on the red corsa
