My car is finally booked into the bodyshop (not the same one that messed me around last time! ) on august 1st, getting it back around the 22nd. Only thing is, the guy has never done a kandy colour before. He said it shouldnt be a problem, but do you have any insider tips on how to do it? I already know that it's a silver ground coat, then the blue, then the clear lacquer on top, but how many layers of each etc? Any advice would be appreciated so i can pass it on to the guy. This respray is costing twice as much as the last one so i dont want it to go wrong!

House of Kolor say to use a similar base coat for your first few goes to stop blotching / streaking and then use 5-7 coats of candy and then clear coat immediately!
There are a few tips on here:

I'd encourage him to have a practice first on some spare panals...
What makes a good Kandy paint job is the skill of the painter
