Ive got an on going feud with the inland revenue because every so often they send me a national insurance bill and the amount keeps getting higher and higher, i think the last bill was for £400+... ive spoke to them on the phone previously because i don't owe them anything, ive been employed since leaving school and have always paid my national insurance. When i spoke to them they said their records show me an never being employed. Erm i pay NI every month, surely they must know this

Anyway, got another bill through this morning of £27 or something and another letter saying my previous amount due has been passed onto their debt collection team... should be fun

Administration of Justice Act 1970.

Section 40 of the act provides that a person commits an offence if, with the object of coercing another person to pay money claimed from the other as a debt due under contract, he or she:

(a) harasses the other with demands for payment which by their frequency, or the manner or occasion of their making, or any accompanying threat or publicity are calculated to subject him or his family or household to alarm, distress or humiliation;

Are you feeling distressed at all?
