I've never been abroad before and looking to go mid August. How much am i looking at to go? What sort of spends do i need? Am i better going for a last mimute deal or booking something now?

Magaluf is great(came back yesterday), should cost you about 350 for a week. Like stuart says, you wanna be taking 400-500 euros with you as there is plenty to do.

2 Massive waterparks, Go-Carting, 52 Hole Crazy Golf(Excellent), 4 Beaches with loads of watersports. All this is within ten mins walk of magaluf, loads of bars/clubs aswell.
