News to me?
PNG did not get invited back due to the drunken antics of some of their members year ago, but as far as I was aware CS have no reason to be included in this?

It is a shame PVG are not allowed as they would have the bigest turnout of corsa's, nova's & astra's

PVG got banned as Ian said a few years back also a kid got run over iirc.
Corsasport would not be allowed to have a stand at Billing untill it was apart of the VBOA, same as astra-sport.

Wasnt anything to do with Corsasport, was as said the PNG as it was back then.
The VBOA is a hard organisation to get into and the club has to abide by a lot of regs and staff need to attend a lot of meetings with Vauxhalla nd VBOA staff throughout the year.
I believe that members of the club actually vote whether to allow new clubs to join.

after trax billing is without a doubt the best show of the year!
If trax didnt have the track time then billing would win!
Billing is a better atmosphere everyones friendly i love the mix between old cheveete owners etc and monaro owners and modified cars!
Pvs this year was a huge let down

I think if it was plugged properly we would have interest from here. With a better focus on the shows we're doing this year we've had good turnout so far.
Last year was basically do every show and see what happens, this year we hand picked events and only endorsed those few.
Next year we'll probably have the same good organisation again, add to that more venues and we'll get a good turnout.
The other issue of being in VBOA - VVOC managed it?! Never looked in to it myself but I would do if anyone had information.

I have made some enquires Ian, and didn't get very far.
Basic things you need to have:
Public Liability
Names and address of all paying membership members.
Something to offer to the VBOA IE Corsa only club, however its not meant to interfere with established VBOA clubs - apparently.
Yes you do have to be elected in and voted on whether your club would be a welcomed edition to the VBOA. I have a contact for the head of the VBOA if you would like it.
I must admit the inclusion of the VVOC and the mk2-cav owners club last year was very strange and unexpected of the VBOA - the fact they make it difficult is causing lots of friction in the vauxhall scene though, and I get the feeling this is down to the old cars being the founder members/clubs of the VBOA and its something the modified cars have been forcing there way into over the last 5 years or so.
This years Billing IMHO enforced this opinion where they more or separated the old and the new, something that they have not done before in previous years.

i dont think thats correct matt,
vxlscc wanted a diff spot, which we got in the middle so that then made room where we was last year - this year manta club filled that and as always behind us was the veteran and older cars!
billing has the nicest show atmosphere and night before,
i personally feel if we performed like we did at pvs we would be a dissapointment to the whole show.
Theres places for large piss ups, like pvs etc and trax off site but billing isnt for that, hence why pvg got the boot

Besides the way we act at PVS i'm sure we can go and tone down the stupidness and have a good time, i'd love my car to be there on the CS stand.
hopefully this can happen next year

what dont you think is correct Brad?
This year there was courtenay in the show ground area and only them. everything one side was the older cars (one side of the autojumble road if you like) the rest was the modified - thats the segregation I meant.
The larger area being where courtenay was is usually a large mix of old and new however this year it was all very forced into the field behind the autojumble. Lotsof vxlscc members were unimpressed with how bad there stand was organised.

to be honest if the CS was to apply for membership to the VBOA they would ask for other members thought on this - if they checked the forum they most likely would say no chance.

im not saying we shouldnt try, we just need to tone things down the night before!!
vxlscc had the stand sorted for them and the way we was organised was poor, but manta boys were there last year and we had the top field!
We asked to be moved.
But anyway its a good show full stop!
