Recently purchased a new hard drive after my previous problems here .....
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=224628
It's in, partitions formatted or whatever, then I put in Windows disc it loads all its stuff then freezes on the screen where it says setup is starting windows & goes no further.
When I don't put the disc in when trying to boot up it comes up with ' NTLDR is missing press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart'.
Any help greatly appreciated.

In the booklet it doesn't need any of the jumpers set for a single hard drive.
Still not working

Is it WinXP?? Has the Install disc been Slip-Streamed with Service Pack 2??
If not...
If you have a USB Keyboard & Mouse, get a regular PS2 combo plugged in & restart setup...
Regardless of what the booklet says... Make sure the drive is set to MASTER & in the Primary IDE Channel on Bank 0 of the IDE Cable (the end-most connector, not the one in the middle)
Put the CD/DVD Drive to MASTER & set it to BANK 0 on the Secondary IDE Channel
Re-Partition the Drive using Windows Setup, Don't Pre-Partition it...
Is the drive bigger than 127Gb / 180Gb?? Could be BIOS/XP related issue where it cant pick up the entire drive size, check for BIOS updates...
Check the CD is not Damaged & download MEMTEST86+ and run a full memory test on the PC your trying to install to...
Try a different Graphics Card to start the installation with...

As for Win2k Pro...
Again, do all checks above, but the Disc may well need to be SlipStreemed with SP4 for W2k for it to work...
The point its hanging on the screen last time looks like either IDE Controller Driver issue, or GFX Driver issue, so may be worth checking for issues with those...
My 2kPro hangs there now & then as my graphics card is slightly goosed & when the drivers initialise, it can cause it to hang...
