As title, my del sol was stolen and they found the stipped chassis remains in london with the vin plate still attatched. I have informed the police and insurance company obviously but im unsure weather I will lose my 2 years no claims bonus or not ??? Ive heard mixed opinions weather you lose it over theft ??


any help would be great !

if you have to make a claim, then the years no claims will be lost...

if you have NCB from previous policies then you keep these

Okay, so i built up 2 years no claims with More than Car insurance - I then switched over to Adrian Flux on a new car, carrying over the two years no claims bonus - not the car has been stolen.

Do i lose the 2 years, or do i keep them ?

Im totally confused. Also what happens to the remaining money paid - i.e. i have 11 months insurance cover remaining, I paid the whole fee in one go - So do i still get back the money for the remaining 11 months cover not used ??

u will lose ur ncb if u make a claim unless u have protection which u cant get untill u have 4 years ncb

I lost my 2 years ncb when the Focus got nicked

Insurance still cheaper than when i was 17 though
