xe is 150 std
eco is 130 std

so u need to spend at least 500-750 to match xe... to start with

ecotec is just as tuneable to 200bhp, and the ecotec does have ore torque which is better on a road car

can you not read, they are just as tunable, so they aint going ot be lower on power when you start tuning them, its a newer engine, bet it wont leak like an xe!

eco-wank engines aint as bad as u think. still pulls well. would b gd 2 c a std red top corsa up against a std eco-wank corsa

but if you spent the same amount of cash tuning both engines the xe is still gonna be faster??? As the its 20bhp more to start with....

Do Ecotec engines generally come from newer cars, not like an XE which usually comes from a 1990 Cav or Cally. Therefore the miles on the engine should be less thus meaning more reliability in most cases.
