just found out my Piper backbox (its the mild steel black one) is very rusty and the bracket on it is about to brake!

so i need so order a new one, but how long should an exhaust last?
for Stainless steel and mild steel?

don't wanna spend lots on a new one if i only have 2 replace it again next year!

Stainless is usually guarenteed for life, mild steel generally only around 1-2 years depending on manufacturer

yeah bout 18months to 2 years is good for a mild steel exhaust

get stainless, looks better when polished and lasts longer than mild. although saying that the standard one on mine has done fine all the time i had it, but put a stainless oval magnex on cos it sounds better.
