.... to do an engine conversion on a 1999 astra?
am thinking of selling my 1.2 8v and since i found a cheap astra 17td with 35k miles which for now is good (to use during the week only) ... maybe in future a LET would be alot better

there 2importers of vaux/opel parts. obtaining a let is not diff. its about the conversion that im afraid..

generally speaking, LET's dont usually run on diesel fuel.

May be chatting bollocks, but I wouldnt be supprised if fuel pumps, lines or the whole system is different.

They run on a different pressure, they dont have ignitions etc

I would of thought that you would just have to change the fuel tank and lines.

that would be about it.

I have heard this is a difficult conversion as you need to do some mega rewiring of the ecu
and engine mounts are in diff places
