At the recent G8 summit the US Assualt ship Saipan, which had recently taken part in the Trafalgar 200 Celebrations was moored not to far away with several hundred member of the USMC 24MEU onboard.

There have been minor 'rumours' that there presense was to help & assist in any G8 security breech or evacuation of Mr Bush.

If these 'rumour's become fact I will be particularly pissed off at this rather overbearing and arrogant attitude adopted by the US Goverment. I feel that the US Goverment would not like HMS Ocean with 3 Commando Brigade, moored in NY harbour or another suitable angorage to where ever Mr Blair/the Queen maybe visting in the US.
