Might look alright though

If my ceilings were a little shit then i might have a go or even wallpaper them. Think wallpaper might be a bit of a cunt to put up though in terms of your neck hurting etc. Mine starts to hurt after about 5 minutes of painting the ceilings. I think mirrors could be easy to put up if you could find the beams. Make sure you don't poke any pipes in the ceiling though, that will just make you wet and make a right mess
