Car is going to audi tomorrow for a diagnostic but its looking likely they will have to replace the ecu. Going to be a massive bill but we are currently cruising round in a corsa C 1.2 comfort, oh dear god its horrid Anyone know what sort of work is involved in replacing an ecu like immobiliser codes, key codes etc I aint got a clue whats needed if they replace it or how long these things take. James can you shed any light on this?

Mind you, it might not even get there as the problem is the car wont start all the time If it doesnt it wont be going there, either that or ill have to push it.

The pump isnt priming, whether its still sparking at the plugs im not sure, it turns over but the fuel pump doesnt work, then eventually you hear it buzz and it fires up first time. Its the fact it doesnt allow the diagnostics to hook up that makes me think ecu

Well it all depends what happens, spoke to them this morning explained what i know and what we have done, he said if it comes down to the ecu, it may even be repairable so might not have to worry too much Still waiting for bad news tho. Id probably get it up to jabbasport and get a full custom remap anyway.

Just had a phonecall from them, they suspect it is the ecu and are now asking to do further work on it and take the ecu out to strip it apart

they wont be able to read the ECU as it has been chipped.

Vaux cannot read SUperchip 'customer key' maps...... and come up with the 'you need a new ECU' line...

your mapping is down the drain now
