right, anyone got any experience with using et38 offset on a corsa?

I bought the car with et38 15's on, the backwheel rubs the arch a fair bit with people in the back

I want to lower it as well, would cutting 2 lines in the arch and folding it back sort the problem enough for me to drop it about 30mm without rubbing?

is there any other fix, I really dont want to have to buy new wheels, because as soon as the kit is fitted this month its being sold, but I want it looking half decent without spending too much before its sold.

The front tyres (avons) the walls dont seem to stick out as much, I was considering swapping these round as well. to get a mm or 2 more clearance.

any other possible fixes? I don't want to resort to spending cash on new wheels or getting some offset shaved off the wheel.

had et 38 15s on when i bought my corsa.... and like urs the rubbing on the back was terrible every little drop it rubbed.... you would need a bit of arch work to lower the car.... what i did was buy a set of 17'' et 45 alloys which is perfect fitment for the corsa, will fill the arches out too and will only need to remove the arch bolts and bond the arch back onto the car to lower it... tbh i did it this way becuse i didnt want to build the car around a set of alloys.... going that extra bit with a little more cash makes the differance... u can buy a cracking set of et45 17'' alloys for £300-£400...

like I said, they were on the car when I bought it and just want a DIY fix before selling really, it's not worth me forking out £400 for new wheels when its not gunna really touch the value of my car (no more than £100 anyway)

Why are you fitting a kit to sell?

Its not £400 if you find something second hand.
