Just seen on the news, a train tunnel in Gerrards cross has collapsed.
Basically they were building this tunnel over the railway (where a railway bridge was) to concreate all over the top and build a big tesco's on top, but apparently it's all collapsed!
I reckon it's probably to do with the rain fall recently, most of the foundations is mud! probably washed a lot of it away and the stresses finally gave way, thankfully no trains under it and the tesco's wasn't built and full of people. Fuck shopping there in the future

Turn on Sky news / bbc 24 / itv news...
or press bbc 2
though - it's kinda reported about it, so wait for it to re-circlulate the head lines.

sounds fucked up that they were tunelling over the railway
i understand what they're doing, but it just doesn't sound right.

I get my hair cut in gerrards cross and for literally years they've been working on that tesco's thing. Last time I was there they had this huge tunnel covered on the top with concrete so they could build a tesco's store on top of that!
but fuck going there now.

I'm actually not suprised in the slightest.
The whole project has been plagued by problems since the start and 90% of residents dont even want the store.
The concrete of the tunnel it self is only about 1ft thick with 300,000 tons of earth etc on top it just doesnt seem safe
