eibach (sp?) but there expensive. if you want, you can get a cheap set up with gmax just untill you can afford the proper ones

my advice would be, spend a little more and get what you want straight away, rather than getting something cheaper cos you can afford it now.
Koni kits are always good with corsa's, im running full koni adjustables but think im gonna upgrade to eibach springs.

All depends on what you are after and what your budget is. With suspension you get what you pay for, If you are going for a show car on 19's then cheap stuff like Gmax will do, but if you want good handling and ride then something like Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks will be ideal.
If your building a track car then some coilovers!

But surely budget gmax shocks and Bilstein sprintline shocks are totally different, hence the price hike.

bilstein sell budjet dampers as well... maybe thats the ones hes on about?
my misus has them on her tigra..
car handles amazingly well but the ride is boneshaking to say the least

no they are not gmax are budget shite suspension. in no way even similar to bilstein.
have you even had an opportunity to get both makes side by side and have a look? i think not otherwise you would know they are different.
