click the little arrow on the item next to the fountain pen on the tool box
i think the shortcut is to press U

or choose a brush to your liking, then hold down shift and draw a line that way

i just tried that. the only thing is if i wanna draw another straight line, its gotta be on another layer, otherwise if you press shift it carries it on from where u left off
