we are getting some major rainfalls over the catchment area this week, we need 50mm a day, for 7 days to bring the Warragabba Dam and others above 50%, they are like 37% capacity at the moment which isnt good.
Its been nearly a decade of drought thanks to El Nino

UPDATE
This is totally unreal, never seen so much water in my life fall from the sky. northern parts of NSW had over 400mm of rain IN ONE NIGHT. thats like 4 months worth thousands of people are being evacuated, and we now await that rain to hit about this afternoon/tonight. it aint going to be pretty!

oh, and consider that it is covering most of NSW, which is bigger than France, you get the idea of the amount of rainfall there.

kewl, you HAVE to go to the outer reef, and also up into the Daintree Rainforests, amazin. Holiday Inn on the waterfront is pretty good place to stay. also, the women there are AMAZING, especially around the new Lagoon.

Free for anyone to just stroll in off the road and go for a paddle when its baking hot. best place to meet other travellers too, many in bikinis
