how long does a 1600 last when pushing over 200bhp?

I know andy h's spec was pretty impressive, and the engine made around 215bhp, but I seem to remember something let go and made a mess

Andy's gearbox is a straight cut jobbie, and engine now has dry-sump, has had it for a while. Apparently the valve springs were no good, and they needed replacing every 2k, but getting new ones fitted to ensure better reliabilty. 214bhp from a 1.6
