yeah they did a run just before the mk4 got released didnt they. dunnoi how many it was though. would have prefered a j-k reg one with a red top in really even if it was an older car. never got the bump strips down the side on the r reg ones. didnt look the same

Phase 2 Astra GSi came with the X20XEV engine and 15" twin spoke alloys I believe.
Plus I don't think they had proper GSi badges - just "Vauxhall Astra 2.0 16v" on the back IIRC.

Yeah it was a limited run after they stopped making GSis, they re-introduced at the very end of the Mk3 for a bit.

they did have gsi badges on em but you would be hard to see it said gsi and not gls as they are the same looking really. silly idea to bring em back out with a not so good engine and charge a fortune for em.
if im right, they didnt have as good interiors or anything, kinda like the 1800 16v ecoteck astra gsi's.
didnt see the point really

Their is a white one in Stoney, lovely but doubt it would be anywhere near as quick as the red top version

Yup, based on a MK3 Astra 2.0 16v Sport. All come with twin airbags and A/C Irmscher side skirts and rear spoiler, GSi front/rear bumpers and grille, but doesn't come with the earlier GSi red/black rear lenses.
Also has 15" Irmscher twin spokes.
Small GSi decal on the run strips denotes model.
