i was gonna have TB's, cams, headwork and a 4 branch manifold fitted, and was originally quoted £2750, rang up today to sort a deposit, and they said "oh, we got the price wrong, its £4363.95"

understandably, i'm going to go elsewhere, but i dunno where really

any suggestions?

i've tried SBD (too much moolah)
cant get a reply from QED

and no-where else seems to offer what i want

what exactly are you wanting?

someone to build the engine as a complete package?

personally I would send the head off to someone reputable (migweb, search for Gary) for the headwork to be done.. cams fitted etc.

then bolt on the TB's yourself (probably a little more complex than just bolt bits on but SBD do give extensive fitting instructions for their TB's), plug in the management and head off to the nearest tuners to get it mapped properly!

northampton motorsport were the ones who quoted me £4363.95
headwork isnt that essential, i really just want the TBs, cams etc
i might buy them seperately and get someone to fit them like you say

Bloody ell, I am surprised!!!

They only charged me about £2k, may have been a little more but no much. That was to supply and fit the Weber throttle bodies, the Alpha ECU, all ancillaries and then map it!

Theres not a chance in France that Id throw nearly £5k at a 1.4 Corsa Im afraid! You could buy a fast car for that, a mint Nissan 200sx S14a, something that has more modding potential that a 1.4 Corsa! DONT DO IT!!!!!!

And it's a daily driver yeah? You are probably gonna come across some problems quite frequently imo.
