Just been down the coast after watching lightning coming from the sea at work! It's going to be cool! Seems to be touching down a lot and lightning was happening at least every 20 seconds! I love electrical weather

Will update with MET Sattelite and Infared Images in a min We're already on a Severe Weather Warning

i still have nightmares about one we had in March. Destroyed so many houses it was unreal.

this pic was 2 in the afternoon, it was like nighttime

These hurt

there were tornadoes as well with that particular storm, houses up the road destroyed by fire from lightning strikes. the worst part was the morning when it all started. lightning hit a tree outside our house and set off every single car alarm in the road. house physically jumped. 100ft tree was destroyed, was foaming like a bitch at the base. was removed before it fell

just checking out the metoffice,

i can see from this the formation of a few cells in the channel.

this is an easier pic to ascertain

it seems to be rolling off a converging cold front. typical of english summers i suspect Cornwall is taking a bashing right now, you got a few meaty cells tucked in there. i suspect SE and Central England will also get bad storms as the cold front makes its way NE.

the most deadly fork of lightening on that pic is the upward small green spike, it is positivly charged and very dangerous
