nope. its off to a place in chilwell on Friday. just thought i should check it wont pull my old mans car to bits on the way. Although im sure hes towed more weight before.

Yes it would, if my mates B reg Maestro pull a heavy trailer with 3 people and a body shell on the back on a 250 mile round trip. Imsure that a vectra would be fine

It's not an ideal weight ratio but it will pull it no problems. Wouldn't worry about it just for a couple of trips

Well in an ideal world the towing vehicle should be twice the weight of the trailer with its load.

a car is legally allowed to tow 3/4 of its weight!!
Thats kerb weight on a trailer so id say youll be fine!!

It also depends on your liscence. If you got your liscence after 2001 (cant remember the exact date) you can only tow a trailer which is 85% or less of the weight of the tow vehicle so you might want to check that if it applys to you.
If it does apply, you can still tow but your liscence only covers you as a provisional driver so you would need someone in the car who has either passed their test before 2001 or done an additional trailer test with the DSA!
