Some pics of my car in the state it is in at the moment! Me and a friend were fixing my alarm yesterday and putting a motorised screen in when we thought, hey why not strip the whole lot, rewire it and add a few other bits I'm starting to regret it slightly now, but it'll be worth it when it's all done...I hope.

so on the list now is :

  1. Fit remote start
  2. Fix Alarm
  3. Fit Dual proximity sensors
  4. Sound deaden floor and roof (using Ivanhoe )
  5. run new speaker wire through entire car
  6. tidy up loads of bits of shoddy wiring as seen in the picture above
  7. wire in motorised screen
  8. move headunit to glovebox
  9. move cd changer to boot
  10. fit more neon in footwells
  11. fit more neons under seats
  12. *possibly spray entire dash - unsure of colour yet
  13. *possibly retrim roof lining and a & b pillars
  14. and probably a load more I haven't thought of

looks like it's going to be off the road for a couple of weeks. I'll keep everyone updated with pics along the way though

    James

Some more pictures from today and yesterday, remote start is wired in temporarily, just got to test it when I get a new key barrell end. Stripped the standard sound deadening bitumen type stuff off the floor and generally tidied up th wiring, see below for picture of all the useless wiring we cut out!

hope you treated the surface before adding the sound deadening as it traps moisture and will make the car rust to fuck in no time

not at the moment, the boot is on a solenoid so I can't open it until the alarm is sorted out hopefuly alarm should be done by this evening if vauxhall have got my new key barrell end / contact assembly in today.

Boot is going to be fibreglassed eventually, I'll try and getter better pics of it once I ge the boot open.

Floor was clean and dry before I put the sound deadening in so it should be ok.
