I have always had trouble with my ears and over the last 2 weeks my left ear has been blocked. I went to the docs and he subscribed me some eardrops...
Anyway this evening its started to hurt a fair bit causing me a bit of pain, called doctors but they are full up and i was debating going to the doctors or maybe the chemist see what they say..
Anyone else get this ? what do you use ?

i get blocked ears alot...Because i never poke anything in them......Doc said you shouldn't put anything in your ear smaller than your elbow
Just put almond oil in them for a few days then go to docs to get them done...best feeling when you come out...can hear a pin drop
my left is blocked at the moment and getting it done end of week....
feels strange though......wehn one is blocked, sometimes the almond oil does the trick and they will clear..

Go to a walk in clinic and get them cyringed...heard all these horror stories before I had mine done...
It doesnt even hurt...tiny jet of water is sprayed into your ear clears them right out...
As Mav said...after they are done you can hear things like Batfink!!! hahaha
Dont realise how bad they were till after there unblocked...

had it a few times in my life before and got it pumped at the docs, but they said they dont do that anymore cause its dangerous ive used olive oil and it seems to make it worse before it gets better. still, if it aint 100% by the end of the week im off to the docs. tis well strange when you get it done, can hear anything
PS: also left ear like everyone else so far...

Well... last night the pain got so bad i collapsed !!
Got taken to Southend hospital and was up there for over 5 hrs before being transferred to another ward to see someone else..
Got to go to the docs to get them syringed but not sure they will do it yet as my ear is very sore and hurting me.
Does it hurt when you get it syringed ? i must get it sorted before 2 weeks time when i fly off to portugal !

no it doesn't hurt when u get them syringed. You will need to have a week of putting oil in to soften them. Then its down to the doctor to decide whether or not to syringe them. If you have an infection they won't do it (sounds like u have an infection) u will have to wait until thats cleared up.
U should get them sorted before 2 weeks so I wouldn't worry about it.

Is it ear wax that causes the problem? You might not want to do this because you would have to visit a beauty salon, but go for a hopi ear candle treatment. You lie on your side and a candle is placed into your ear and as it burns down it melts the wax inside your ear. When you turn onto your other side, all the wax from your ear runs out. That would really help you.
