Cav still playing up - as soon as something is fixed something else starts to give.

We replaced the bent wishbone and stuck a new knock sensor. Now everything "appears to be fine"

Then the storm has swept into town:
O2 sensor gave up the ghost so that was duely replaced
Fuel tank vent was cleaned out as this was causing the EML to stay on.

Finally the EML went off and everything was fine.....or was it.......

I noticed i had mayo in the header tank but the head gasket had been done less than 1000 miles ago (had an invoice from a well known Vauxhall tuner for the head work and was refitted by the owner of the time not Stretch btw) so we flushed the system though all sorted.
But its come back in a big way only thing i can think of is that the mayo is still trying to work itself out of the system optimisum at its best or worse.........the head is cracked - the oil is perfectly clean so this is a head teaser which only removing the head will solve i believe.

Then the really bad bit - my Amal valve (no not **** valve ) decided to pack up so my boost spiked from the standard 8psi to 23psi, not good when running a standard intercooler and running the car in 2wd.

Must have made for spectacular viewing as i went up the road hanging on however.

Then the car decided to overheat as well because the fan wouldnt kick in - then the fan started working again and now its not.

Still never mind looks like i have picked up a 1.5 Diesel Corsa Van to bone around in so the Cav can come off the road and have all the problems and paintwork sorted. Not looking forward to the bill though.

I do actually miss the Corsa

can't you just pay the extra for insurance or is it very expensive

You got any pics of this one you're getting?

i could as its not too expensive for insurance about £450 more than corsa

should of got some pics of it the other day, tis nice, is dark green has full leather interior, air-con, adjustable spoiler, and its really good condition apart from grill is cracked, so i'd replace that

still dunno what to do with the corsa
