Eyup, i had a post about this the other day, i recommended my dad to get a pda like skinz told me, but my dad went to halfords n talked my dad into mio for about £400 he said it had 2.5gb hdd for all maps etc and its portable.
also said this whuch annoyed me:
pdas are crap for satnav as they are designed a computer as well where standalone units are all sat nav, and u have to be computer literat to d/l maps onto pda etc, so my dad now wants the tom tom go 700 or the mio 297 i think
