its all a conspricay,
Tony Blairs pledge is the same amount raised after the Tsunami by british public, i wonder where that money really went.
i think Tony Blair and Bush saw the africa thing as a big problem for 2005, so exploded sadams weapons of mass destruction, or their own nukes under the sea, causing the Tsunami and raising £££££.

isn't bidding on ebay meant to be a legally binding contract! I would piss myself if someone got sued after putting in a 10 million bid on an auction.

Yep, they should actually do it to 1 person for a laugh.. It would end up on the news and certainly scare people next time
Also these people will more than likely get in trouble anyway (sellers) as Ebay are very hot on this topic as are the lawyers from the ticket company etc

it's all bollocks though. Worst ebay can do is ban you and that's it. It's up to the seller to take legal action

What a load of fucking moaning twats...
Think about it for a second.
People who have won these tickets have done so by texting in x amount of times therefore generating x amount for the charity. Of which these texts don't forget are actually funding the gig.
If people choose to sell these on at inflated prices so fucking what. It's not like if others had won them then they would have generated more money for the charity. You would have just had another pair of numpties turn up to a glorified concert.
The people who are actually bidding on them are the ones who probably never even texted in the first place and are the true losers. Some ebayers are offering to give a % of profits to the charity. Whether they do or don't, it's still more money that would have been generated than if the tickets had been won by a lucky texter on their first go.
Telling people they sould take em down and think of the poor children is bollocks, they have had the money end of story. Yes there is a moral issue but so what. People should be free to buy and sell as they like.
PS I'm not selling any or even texted but bet yer ass they would be sold on if I had. I'd just sold 4 tickets for U2 tonight for £150 profit. No-ones kicking up a fuss over these people who are lining their own pockets

I fucking hate all these tits who read tabloid bullshit newspapers. Why should people not be allowed to sell the tickets, damn good idea, wish I had thought of it.

Official statement from eBay now posted:
Dear all,
Today you have made it very clear to us that our previous decision to allow the sale of LIVE 8 tickets on eBay.co.uk was not one that the vast majority of you agreed with. As a result of this clear signal from the Community we have decided to prohibit the resale of LIVE 8 tickets on the site.
Although the resale of tickets is not illegal, we think that this is absolutely the right thing to do. We have listened to the views you expressed on the discussion boards and in the many emails you have sent to us. We shall be working over the next few hours to remove all LIVE 8 ticket listings from the site.
Thanks for taking the time to contact us and make your views heard,

That is wank, fair enough it is their site and I'm sure they can pick and choose which auctions they stay or which go. However to back down to general demand and from people mearly jumping on the bandwagon who for one have never probably used ebay before or heard of the Internet is taking the piss.
