a PDA, then a bluetooth or fixed wire GPS receiver, then the tomtom software, which you can if you decide download free or buy from tomtom.

All can be got as a package from http://www.totalgps.co.uk

or you can buy the bits indiviually, ie the pda from ebay etc.

Dont whatever you do buy the tomtom HP edition, its crap

I agree with Skinz 100% and go for the tomtom. not only does it have voice prompts but you can choose the language and whether its a bloke or woamn etc.
AS my dad is the sort of boss of a fleet of lorry drivers they are looking at getting satnav so we got to test threee and the tom tom was the best one out of them never got us lost once or anything.

The Mio is very very slow and also lacks the capability of entering a postcode

i'd go for a tom tom personally, followed by the navman, then the medion. I haven't been able to try the garmin out yet, cos some barsteward has stolen the display one !!

i haven't used it much, but thought it was ok. Nah i'm mainly parts, but venture over that side occasionally to earn some money on the incentives !!!
