Driving home, come up off a round about where 1 lane splits into 2, goto go into the second lane and some w*nker comes out on the outside of me, clips my front and does in his door.
I followed him until he pulled in, and he's trying to blame me for it, only problem is that my MOT ran out yesterday and I was running around that day getting stuff done that needing doing to get the MOT done tomorrow, so I technically had no MOT.
What can I do? He's offered to just let me pay for the damage without getting police/insurance involved, that gunna be the only way out of it without getting 6 points?

no no, he insists it's my fault, and wants ME to pay for the damage.
However I got a bit suspicious (since his whole doors dented and a little chunk missing from his rear quarter) when he offered to kick it out the best he can and let me pay for "touch up"

To be fair it does sound like your fault... Were you indicating? did you check your blind spot?
Why did you move out into the outside lane if it was 2 lanes?
I've nearly been hit by people before, when I go off a roundabout and go to overtake in the outside lane ... people either drift out or pull out to the outside lane from the inside without looking (they look see my car is there and quickly pull back in) - Twats!!
Then they all act as if I'm in the wrong because they didn't check before moving (or even SIGNAL!)

I moved into the second lane (it goes in another direction) just as it split into 2 lanes, yes I indicated, and yes I checked all around me + blindspot, I was only pulled out a slight bit, waiting for the guy in front to move before I had enough room to move out of the queue.
I can't be 100% but I think the other guy cut out of the lanes to overtake the queue to get into the second lane, but it all happened so quick

but regardless of who's fault it was, I can't really contest it if I have no MOT can I?
If it passes MOT tomorrow/this week (if something fails) and I lost the old certificate, what would happen then?

hmm you checked your mirrors and blindspot but still pulled out on another car?
P.s. there's a spider about 2 inches from my foot and it's fucking freaking me out.

he wasn't there when I checked, he must have come around the corner inbetween me checking my mirror and looking forward to pull off, so was coming at some speed, (which is clearly evident by the amount of damage to his car)
Theres little damage to my car however, some of his paint embedded in my front wing (both blue, not that noticeable) small crack in the paint as the result of a unnoticeable dent and a scuffed wheel and bumper.

"technically had no MOT" - what retard would drive about without MOT. You may as well have a sign saying "please hit me, I've got no MOT!!!!!"

what a constructive post?
A retard who needs a car to get the bits required for the MOT.
You're telling me you've never suddenly thought, my MOT is due soon, and when checked was yesterday or today?
How long have you been driving for?
and how does being without MOT for a day make me more liable to have someone crash into me?

It is blantantly your fault.
Someone was overtaking you and you pulled out and hit him.
You're an idiot for driving without MOT aswell because i suspect this will void your insurance. If your car needed bits to pass an MOT then it is not roadworthy and should not have been used to pick up parts to enable it to pass it's MOT.
I'm glad you put this in Off Day because it is a load of shit.

If you had no MOT why follow him till he pulled in! Should have let him go and then you would have just had your damage to deal with.

id go to an MOT garage who u know of and try and get it MOT'd with and somehow get an earlier date stamped on it (if its possible). still sounds like ur fault tho, so either ur insurance has got to oay or if u got get ur MOT sorted, uv got to pay. your lucky that he doesnt want the police involved

guys, your not understanding this, this isnt a normal round about or road, this is the isle of wight we're talking about :S
1 lane from the previous set of traffic lights splits into 2, I went into the second lane, he came up on the outside (the outside goes in a totally different direction), the queue of traffic was moving slowly, he came buzzing round the outside
yes I know it's my fault for not having an MOT, and the car was roadworthy, it needed a cat, and 1 front tyre was about 1mm on one little bit(which had been replaced at the time of the accident anyway)
I didn't fancy just driving off either, the area is covered bt CCTV (whether that particular bit was or not, I'm not sure) and my car is quite unique anyway

Just say that you will settle for a knock for knock situation and then atleast you will only have yours to pay for.

You pulled out into a lane that was occupied - your mistake.
