I want to do free-lance web development in my spare time, i'll be using HTML, PHP and MySQL.
Supposing I wanted to store a few different websites for various small companies, would I be able to store these on the same web server?
I know i'll need a ZEND engine to process the PHP and a database to store the records accessed by the MySQL. Can all this be stored on the same server? Or do I need a separate DBMS server?
Also is it possible to have a secure area on the server to process online credit card transactions? This might be getting a bit out of my depth but they are all ideas floating around in my head. I'm fairly clued up on doing the coding but ive always used the uni server to store any pages
Any help is appreciated

No do it on the same box, if your using Windows then just use Windows XP, then download something like http://www.devside.net this. It's apache/php/mysql all in one package. Just install and away you go. Or if you specifically want to use the built in IIS of Windows then you can get mysql and php to install to work with that. But the first option is the quickest and easiest way to do it
