ive been told to expect the new vxr corsa mid november, with a 1.6 turbo engine. new shape aswell
does any one else no more or heard any thing?

Cant say that i know n e thing about it but it sounds good and i hope ur right. Although would maybe be better as a 2 litre turbo just for shits and giggles

I think they decided the 2.0l would be two much for a "safe" production car of corsa size which is why they are going for the 1.6 turbo.
well so ive been told by a mate who knows someone, who knows someone that lives next door to Mr Vauxhall.

Don't even bother to believe anything anyone says until you see the car in your local dealer.
The 2.0 engine is perfectly safe in a Corsa size production car and has been for years.

yeah its gonna be a 1.6 turbo with 160/165 bhp and its gonna look like the new tigra as in the same v grill and bits looks nice

There have been so many rhumors about this car. Apparently there was going to be a 1.6t C, but that never happened..... I'll believe it when I see some chump buy one.

there is a piece on the new vxr corsa 1.6 turbo which is apparently due in 18months priced at bout £14k

the first one looks like a cross between a micra and the astra and the second one just looks like an astra!!
I origionally thought they were bringing out a z16let engine to put in the corsa c or d, then a 2ltr VXR corsa!
All rumour though!

I never understood why they bothered to develop a 1.6turbo with 175hp....
When you have severel 2 litre turbo's available (even with the same hp [170]).

Weight? perhaps GM thought it would be beneficial in the small chassis to put in a lighter engine. the Tigra seems to do alright with the 1.6
