Is it possible to transfer a registration plate from a car once its been scrapped?
I saw my first car in the scrap yard a few weeks ago, and would like to transfer the reg onto my current car, as it holds a lot of sentimental value to me.
Any help would be great!

i dont think so as the car needs to be MOT'd and Taxed to be able to transfer the plate

Isn't it a rule that if a car is scrapped so is the reg?

Goes back onto the dvla system I thought
But as said car must have MOT to transfer a plate

it doesnt the reg plate is lost
i know cos adam wanted b34rdy for his car but the car has been scrapped and dvla said the plate no longer exists
