rite i wanna do a 1.6 16v conversion on my 1.4 8v corsa.

what engine would be the baest for the job takin into account i'm gonna tune it as much as possible.

also will me 8v gearbox fit onto the new engine.

what would i need for the conversion apart from engin wiring and ecu

Your gearbox will fit yes.

Can use exsisting driveshafts, hubs.

Will need from the donor car-

Engine
Loom
ECU
Transponder
Chip

Is your car MPi or SPi? If SPi you will need a 16v fuel pump.

Use current 8v, V-belt alternator setup as well so will mean changing the bottom pulley on the 16v engine.

i did it on last corsa i did
but yeah either works as i now know but i still dont know what size belt it is

Ahh but what if his current car has no powersteering and the engine he has, has the PAS pulleys on it?
