as above, the project has a dodgy KnN on at mo, and just wanna clean it up, other then dishwasher what's the best way to clean these up?

other then the dishwasher

If you're not going to oil it then there's no point even using it.

Buy one of the "approved" cleaning kits.


Shame you can't just wash it as easily as you would a Pipercross filter...

Use proper cleaning oil. Can be messy but it does the trick.

rinse it from inside outwards, otherwise u drive dirt into it

you need to submerge in water rinse off leave to dry for 2 hours, then re oil

Apply methanol thinners and subject to a naked flame.

rinse from inside out very first thing u do, i just hang it over a tap and turn it round.

brush out dirt with a soft brush then apply the K&N cleaning fluid, leave for 10mins, rinse well and leave to air dry. then apply K&N oil leave for 15 mins before putting back in car. kit costs around £10
