In a years time I want a new car. Ive narrowed it down to these two due to fairly good reliability and fairly reasonable running costs. I'll be 21 with 2 years no claims and im swaying towards the Astra because it should be cheaper to buy.

hhmm, in a years time i could probably pick up an Astra SRi Turbo (pretty much the same as the GSi) for about £7.5k, whereas the Leon would be nearer £9.5k. And performance wise in a straight line theres not much in it

And I think the Astra looks nice, this example just has 18" wheels and is lowered

Picked a Shit hot Example thats Clokems from A-S Stunning motor It actually has more than just 18" wheels and lowered, the rear lights are different, Grill and a few others....also a few engine mods too
If you looked about SRi-T's are going for around £7.5k the now and GSI's are holding a bit better seen some 54 plates going for around £10k, Finding a good Sri-T will be hard as there was only 500 made some my have high milage or just been modified (if your wanting a standard one)
Leon has endless tuning potential aswell though i personally dont like the looks of it compared to the Astra i think the Astra looks more agressive..
