i've seen them for 1.6 and 2.0
personally not seen them for 1.4, so who knows...

I'd imagine the inlet manifold would be shared with the 16XE engine, so all you'd need is a set of throttle bodies in a suitable bore of 40 or 42mm.

Too much hassle for no point IMHO, unless you're using the car to compete in a 1400cc class or something.

so wat would be advise to do to a 1.4 sport?

dunt want 2.0 litre insurance would be too much

hang on let me say that again i would love a 2.0 litre but insurance would kill me

If you want performance, then no other engine swap is worth doing. Concentrate on the car's braking and suspension.

2.0 engines leak oil all the time & Vauxhall don't let you buy new seals. You have to but a new engine every time

You can put throttle bodies on a 1.4 a worth while but costly job. Plus you could always up grade it to a 1.6 when you insuranse is better

dont you remeber kieth piper??? he had a racing corsa, twas a 1400 on tb's kicking out close to 200bhp..

but then it threw a rod a about 9000rpm and set on fire

They sound amazing do it! JR's old 1.4 had 136 bhp without TB's and all it needed was TB's to finish it. It was an amazing engine. It ran a 15.7 on its first and only 1/4 mile which is XE teritory. PLus with TB's i reckon it would of been mad

when the carsb are on it it will be
