just bought a janspeed exhaust manifold for my 1.4 16v engine.
looking to get an exhaust as i just have the standard one at the moment. dont know whether to just get a backbox or a cat back system? also is a stainless steel one best or a mild steel janspeed one?

I guess a decat and straight through to back box is best for performance

isnt it a pain though to swop a decat pipe over for MOT?

i have a janspeed manifold/ de-cat and system. fits perfect, its a mild steel one, 2 years old but no signs of rust at all. dont get a straight through system, stupidly noisy and raspy.
de-cat is only a 25 min job to change over at mot time.

so what is the difference between a decat and system and a straight through?
