anybody know why my engine managment light is staying on when i start it up its a 1.4 8 valve?

The engine management light comes on when something is up. you need to take it to a garage that can do a diagnostic on it to tell you what is wrong. From the information you have give us it is impossible to answer!

something drastic is definately wrong, i can sense it.
it's a big job, but fortunately it's repairable.
unfortunately however, it's gona cost you £417.36 +vat

Well if the car is still going it can't be that drastic! take it to a garage.


The engine management light comes on when there is a general problem with the car. You need to take it for a diagnostic check, or do the paperclip test as someone mentioned.
