For meeting in a Hotel room to discuss talk of a transfer while the transfer window was closed

Chelsea Fined £300,000
Mourinho was fined £200,000
And Ashley Cole £100,000

And the news Reporter had a Guy behind him on the phone to someone probably saying "Hey turn on BBC1 I'M ON THE NEWS!!!!!" he looked like a chav with massive big slab for a phone

Thats pocket money for all of the above, still quite hefty though. Chelsea will be glad they were punished finiacially rather than deducting points from them next season.

they got a 3 point deduction aswell though

Either way they said it may go to the courts because the FA's Rules were some kind of breech of European Workers law or some shite

I can See them gettin off with it if they appeal and the egg will be well and truly on moanyfaced Arsey wenger!

i cant believe they can deduct points tbh Villa only got a fine for tapping up James Beattie (only difference was it wasnt so public) the bigger teams have their players tracked by the media

fine was right and deserved you just cant act like that in football, player or teams with the bluntness of it but its true football is a business like everyone else's jobs and we have contracts so why cant footballers be able to search for other jobs?

Thoday, you have porbably just summed up what Chelsea and Ashley cole are thinking

I'm sure they will appeal against it and it will no doubt end up in huge legal battle and as the news said "REVOLUTIONISE" the way football transfers are carried out

Hmm unsure as points are only suspended so as long as nothing else goes on its just a fine

Cole will appeal but Chelsea should just accept it as it will create chaos Bosman style

they only get 3 points deducted if they do anything dodgy next year not just automatically just a warning really that they are going to be being watched very carefully.

I agree that it will cause chaos and Chelsea were in the wrong but Cole is not totally blameless either

Anyone Else think Cole will be at Stamford bridge next season????

No he won't be at Chelsea next season! They claim to not be interested anymore and I think Arsenal wouldn't sell him to a rival club! But then again......you never know!
