I got to get my car back from the bodyshop tomorrow and drive it about 4 miles, to save getting insurance for hte day my dad is going to drive it, but it hasnt got any plates on. If i hand write some (the proper numbers etc obviosuly) whats the penalty for getting caught, just a fine or points and fine? My dad is a bit dubious of doing it!

if ur dad is driving it and gets pulled over. im sure if he explains why and its only for a day they wnt fine him.
its only a 30quid fine anyway, cnt get points for it

Where are the cars number plates? It must have had some, unless the car is stolen or brand new?
