On my 1.2 8V my fan comes in at about 100C. I thought this was high at first. but most poeples seem to come in at around this stage so I presume it is normal and that it is not causing any harm

mine starts the first time about 96 degrees and drops to about 92

as long as it turns on at 100 degree's latest it is ok, because any higher and the water will start to boil and evapourate!!!!!!

keeping the coolant/water maintaned and topped up will help your fan turn on at the right time..... as i used to keep the coolant only just over half full and the fan used to turn on about 97-98 then!!
