Hi people,
Woundering if you could help me, The past couple of days i have been hearing noices coming from my breaks but today i found out there is a really problam when ever i break there is a really loud scraping noise like the brake pads are just hitting metal to metal, well i am ashuming it is that.
The car is stopping but not like it used to is this the pads gone on the front or does it sound much worse?, Has anyone on here had the same problam?
If so how much are brake pads

Std disc's are 20 and pads 10, fit em ya self or pay a good 60 - 70!!!!

Sounds like you have worn your brakes down, need new brake pads

Thanks for all the help dosnt sound to bad of a job, wouldnt have the foggiest how to fit them my self lol

actually they are approx £11 to £12 each and pads are approx £7 to £8

and if shane can do it anyone can
however if u think u have a metal on metal sound and ure car isnt stopping as well then common sense tells u brakes

the fact that i was doing 90 on a duel caridgway in the wet with no break pads with very warn and a warped disc doesnt have anything to do with it

it was something like 44 for new pad,s discs, oil filer and oil

lol i know it was common sense and i am so glad i got common sence answers that what i wanted. Just needed to double check as my family know nothing about cars.
