Right, anyone know if its possible to use a pop3 account on O2 PAYG tarrifs?

Ive tried setting up a mailbox on my 6600, the mailbox settings are fine as the email account works perfectly under O.E - but when i go to messages > *mailbox name* > Connect, it says its trying to connect to "O2 WAP GPRS" and it just seems to hang.

anyone know what im doing wrong? or has anyone managed to get email working under O2 PAYG tarrif?

try connecting via wap? i'm on o2 and have trouble connecting via GPRS.

yea, tried changing the access point to use the mms settings but it still doesnt want to know - oh wells, ive set up a wapmail script on my server, so i can ask mail from that - should do for time being
