been downloading them series by series, one question tho why does it change so much from season2 and onto 3... i aint missing any episodes i checked amazon and the dvds have the same.... holys the bird for the para universe, season 2 ended with lister finding out he was having kids but when i watched the start of season 3 it was all diff and didnt conclude to the end of season 2... anyone fill me in why

There are many reasons as to why Holly changed from Norman Lovett to Hattie Haytridge.

- There was a mix up when they all met in the parallel universe.

- Red Dwarfs power was running down and Holly changed form.

The most believed reason is that Holly changed his appearance to the other Holly to show his love for her.

Lister giving birth is mentioned in later series but you never see them again.

I didnt look all that up by the way.

ah i c so there is no explanation for the change.... just about to watch season 4.. does he stay that way right up to the end of season 8 ?

Norman Lovett came back for the last series, as did the rest of the crew as the ship was rebuilt.

?.... the first episode is "Backward", where they hit a time hole... and they end up on earth where everything is in reverse.... but they all exit the whole at the end... I may be missing sommit u telling me tho .... watching into season 5 now downloading 6

As I said right at the start of Series 3 in backwards. There is really fast scrolling text which explains why it changes so much.

or maybe normal lovett was busy with other work commitments

Yes. It doesnt follow on from any of the series though and is a stand alone story.
